خطبہ حجتہ الوداع (631ء ۔10ھ ذوالحجہ )
آپ ﷺ نے حج ادا کیا اور آخری خطبہ حجتہ الوداع فرمایا:
سب تعریف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہم اسی کی حمد کرتے ہیں۔ اسی سے مدد چاہتے ہیں۔ اس سے معافی مانگتے ہیں۔ اسی کے پاس توبہ کرتے ہیں اور ہم اللہ ہی کے ہاں اپنے نفسوں کی برائیوں اور اپنے اعمال کی خرابیوں سے پناہ مانگتے ہیں۔ جسے اللہ ہدایت دے تو پھر کوئی اسے بھٹکا نہیں سکتا اور جسے اللہ گمراہ کر دے اس کو کوئی راہ ہدایت نہیں دکھا سکتا۔ میں شہادت دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہ ایک ہے۔ اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں اور میں شہادت دیتا ہوں کہ محمد اس کا بندہ اور رسول ہے۔
اللہ کے بندو! میں تمہیں اللہ سے ڈرنے کی تاکید اور اس کی اطاعت پر پر زور طور پر آمادہ کرتا ہوں اور میں اسی سے ابتدا کرتا ہوں جو بھلائی ہے۔
لوگو! میری باتیں سن لو مجھے کچھ خبر نہیں کہ میں تم سے اس قیام گاہ میں اس سال کے بعد پھر کبھی ملاقات کر سکوں۔
ہاں جاہلیت کے تمام دستور آج میرے پاؤں کے نیچے ہیں؛ عربی کو عجمی پر اور عجمی کو عربی پر، سرخ کو سیاہ پر اور سیاہ کو سرخ پر کوئی فضیلت نہیں مگر تقویٰ کے سبب سے ۔
خدا سے ڈرنے والا انسان مومن ہوتا ہے اور اس کا نافرمان شقی۔ تم سب کے سب آدم کی اولاد میں سے ہو اور آدم مٹی سے بنے تھے۔
لوگو! تمہارے خون تمہارے مال اور تمہاری عزتیں ایک دوسرے پر ایسی حرام ہیں جیسا کہ تم آج کے دن کی اس شہر کی اور اس مہینہ کی حرمت کرتے ہو۔ دیکھو عنقریب تمہیں خدا کے سامنے حاضر ہونا ہے اور وہ تم سے تمہارے اعمال کی بابت سوال فرمائے گا۔ خبردار میرے بعد گمراہ نہ بن جانا کہ ایک دوسرے کی گردنیں کاٹتے رہو۔
جاہلیت کے قتلوں کے تمام جھگڑے میں ملیامیٹ کرتا ہوں۔ پہلا خون جو باطل کیا جاتا ہے وہ ربیعہ بن حارث عبدالمطلب کے بیٹے کا ہے۔ (ربیعہ بن حارث آپ کا چچیرا بھائی تھا جس کے بیٹے عامر کو بنو ہذیل نے قتل کر دیا تھا)
اگر کسی کے پاس امانت ہو تو وہ اسے اس کے مالک کو ادا کر دے اور اگر سود ہو تو وہ موقوف کر دیا گیا ہے۔ ہاں تمہارا سرمایہ مل جائے گا۔ نہ تم ظلم کرو اور نہ تم پر ظلم کیا جائے۔ اللہ نے فیصلہ فرما دیا ہے کہ سود ختم کر دیا گیا اور سب سے پہلے میں عباس بن عبدالمطلب کا سود باطل کرتا ہوں۔
لوگو! تمہاری اس سرزمین میں شیطان اپنے پوجے جانے سے مایوس ہو گیا ہے لیکن دیگر چھوٹے گناہوں میں اپنی اطاعت کئے جانے پر خوش ہے اس لیے اپنا دین اس سے محفوظ رکھو۔
اللہ کی کتاب میں مہینوں کی تعداد اسی دن سے بارہ ہے جب اللہ نے زمین و آسمان پیدا کئے تھے ان میں سے چار حرمت والے ہیں۔ تین (ذیقعد ذوالحجہ اور محرم) لگا تار ہیں اور رجب تنہا ہے۔
لوگو! اپنی بیویوں کے متعلق اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو۔ خدا کے نام کی ذمہ داری سے تم نے ان کو بیوی بنایا اور خدا کے کلام سے تم نے ان کا جسم اپنے لیے حلال بنایا ہے۔ تمہارا حق عورتوں پر اتنا ہے کہ وہ تمہارے بستر پر کسی غیر کو نہ آنے دیں لیکن اگر وہ ایسا کریں تو ان کو ایسی مار مارو جو نمودار نہ ہو اور عورتوں کا حق تم پر یہ ہے کہ تم ان کو اچھی طرح کھلاؤ ، اچھی طرح پہناؤ۔
تمہارے غلام تمہارے ہیں جو خود کھاؤ ان کو کھلاؤ اور جو خود پہنو وہی ان کو پہناؤ۔
خدا نے وراثت میں ہر حقدار کو اس کا حق دیا ہے۔ اب کسی وارث کے لیے وصیت جائز نہیں۔ لڑکا اس کا وارث جس کے بستر پر پیدا ہو، زناکار کے لیے پتھر اوران کے حساب خدا کے ذمہ ہے۔
عورت کو اپنے شوہر کے مال میں سے اس کی اجازت کے بغیر لینا جائز نہیں۔ قرض ادا کیا جائے۔ عاریت واپس کی جائے۔ عطیہ لوٹا دیا جائے۔ ضامن تاوان کا ذمہ دار ہے۔
مجرم اپنے جرم کا آپ ذمہ دار ہے۔ باپ کے جرم کا بیٹا ذمہ دار نہیں اور بیٹے کے جرم کا باپ ذمہ دار نہیں۔
THE LAST SERMON OF THE HOLY PROPHET (SAW)
The Great Charter of Human Rights "O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today. O People, just as you regard this month, this day, and this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord and that he will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligations shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn Abd ul Muttalib [the Prophet's uncle] be waived. Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of the son of Rabiah bin Harith. O People, the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calendar in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to forbid that which Allah has made permissible. With Allah, the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, three of these are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban. Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of that he will be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things. O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right, then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste. O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, offer your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to. All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a nonArab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware: do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone. O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray. All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people."
